What is the Dräger PARAT® 4500 Industrial Escape Hood Designed To Do?

For starters, it's designed to give you 15 minutes escape protection against toxic industrial fumes, gases and particles. It's designed to be quick and easy to don, and it won't hamper your field of vision while you use that 15 minutes to make your escape from the hazardous area.

How does it do this?

It does so thanks to the highly efficient ABEK-P15 filter which features a combination cartridge (gas & particle filter) and provides protection against organic and inorganic gases and particles. The filter is approved in accordance to DIN 58647 Part 7.

Obviously having clear vision while you leave the affected area is paramount, so Dräger has manufactured the PARAT 4520 with a large, wide, anti-fog visor.

How Do You Put On the PARAT 4520?

As it's available in one, universal size, it's designed to be suitable for all wearers, and is very easy to remove from the packaging and place over your head. It benefits from an elasticated neck piece, which makes sure you're fully protected.

As you can see from our video, the hood is made out of a highly visible fabric, which will aid in keeping you visible, even in dim or smokey conditions. And the hood is available in a choice three different packages making it very easy to keep on, or near, your person. And there's also a training hood available.
