What makes the Dräger escape hoods worthy of our consideration is, in part, the fact that the company designs them in cooperation with users, focusing entirely on providing you with the fastest possible escape.

This should always be your number 1 consideration when equipping yourself and your team with escapes hoods; fast escape.

An escape hood that's easy and intuitive to use is also another huge factor to consider. Dräger's escape hoods are designed to be opened and deployed quickly and easily, with no fumbling on the part of the operator!

For example, whenever the PARAT hoods are removed from their packaging the filter plug is automatically released from the filter, which is then immediately deployed into the operating position. Straight away the hood is ready for you to don.

Once it's fitted to your head, the internal harness "self-adjusts", meaning you don't need to awkwardly fiddle with any straps. Simply open the package, pull on the hood and leave the area. It's that simple and quick.

When you've donned the escape hood, the benefit of an anti-fog visor is evident, along with the textile neck seal which will keep the hood firmly, but comfortably, in place. Couple these features with the high performance filter (see below for more details) and exhalation valve - which leads your exhaled breath out of the hood - we've got an escape hood that is easy to use, and obviously designed for your comfort.

As Dräger says, these hoods have been designed in consultation with end-users, so they really are "working together to improve safety".
