Industrial Scientific Radius BZ1 Area Monitor

Industrial Scientific Radius BZ1 Area Monitor

The Radius BZ1 is an area gas detection monitor that can simultaneously detect up to 7 gases, including LEL (methane), LEL (pentane), O2, H2S, S02 and CO2, has a battery run time of 7 hours and can connect an entire worksite.

The Radius BZ1 is Industrial Scientific’s area monitor within their gas detection range. One of its most attractive features is its ability to connect an entire application through LENS Wireless. Users can share device status and readings and receive instant notifications when other devices have been alarmed. This function instantly communicates emergencies helping to lower response times and improve overall worker safety on-site (up to 300m).

The battery within the device runs on a typical span of 7 days (168 hours), meaning the monitor can be left in the field for up to seven days for reliable and consistent gas detection. Furthermore, the Radius BZ1 can be purchased alongside the Solar Power Supply for an unlimited and environmentally friendly power supply.

The Radius BZ1’s exterior is a bright and rugged build which makes it suitable for a wide range of applications and environments and can be deployed instantly after start-up. The large display helps to communicate to workers from a distance. It can provide customisable alarm action messages such as “VENTILATE” or “EVACUATE”, further helping to create faster response times on site.

The monitor uses Dual Sense Technology sensors that increase reliability due to redundant protection as two sensors can detect the same gas. This means if one sensor fails, the second one will still monitor the gas and continue to protect the site.

    Key Features
    • A very high noise alarm sounds at 109dB and distinguished coloured visual alarms to distinguish critical and non-critical events.
    • Three-button keypad
    • The monitor data logs for at least three months at 10-second intervals and event logs for 60 alarm events.
    • The outer casing is made of Impact-resistant polycarbonate alloys.
    • LENS Wireless compatible provides -
      • The ability to view peer readings and alarms between peer monitors helps workers make informed decisions in real-time.
      • Alarms such as “man down” and “panic” can be set if workers are unresponsive.
      • Optional LENS Wireless software allows workers to share gas readings, identify peer alarms, view gas readings and activate panic alarms.
      • Flexible use such as - perimeter monitoring, fence line monitoring and confined space monitoring
    • The device can be charged while it is not in use by using a power and supply cord.
    • IP66 rating means the monitor is fully dust-tight from dust and other particles with a vacuum seal and is protected against high-pressure water jets.
    • iNet Now compatible
