MSA 93 Hg/St Combined Filter
Please note: this product is now obsolete and has been replaced by MSA 93 ABEK Hg/St Combined Filter
MSA’s 93 Hg/St combined filter is part of the range of 9X series of MSA gas and combination filters. These are in full compliance with REACH regulations and do not include any toxic materials listed in the European regulation.
This particular filter offers protection in applications including mercury vapours and particles (maximum allowed time of user 50 hours).
P3 PlexTec particle filters use PlexTec Media to allow the user to experience better comfort and a significantly increased filtering surface. This means the reduction in inhalation resistance improves filtering performance and service time, whilst at the same time allowing more relaxed breathing.
Additionally, through PlexTec technology filter housings have been reduced in size, making them more compact and lightweight.
There are some limitations of use with the 9X series of filters which includes being used everywhere except for some inherent limitation e.g. containers or confined spaces.
Conditions must be known such as type, property and composition of contaminant, sufficient oxygen content of inhalation air (>17 vol.-%) and also observation of local or national restrictions or conditions.
Filter recommendations are based on pure substances and with mixtures, by-products, or decomposition products, the impurities must be taken into account.
This particular filter is 270g in weight, 107mm in diameter and 85mm in height. It uses thread connector EN148-1. They have also successfully passed a dolomite test and are also reusable according to EN 143:2000/A1:2006.
