The ToxiRAE II Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Monitor continuously displays toxic gas concentrations to the user and costs a little more than disposable detectors. For H2S monitoring, typical disposables only display remaining life whereas the RAE’s detector is fully-featured and provides a continuous, digital display of the gas concentration, STEL, TWA and peak values as well as high and low alarms. RAE System’s hydrogen sulfide detector is a simple-to-use one-button product and is easy to calibrate. By using or modifying the alarms, specific requirements can be met. These include a bright red flashing alarm, a loud 90 dB buzzer and a built-in vibration alarm.
To assist hydrogen sulfide monitoring, the instrument can be hands-free, clipping onto a hardhat, shirt pocket, shoulder strap, or belt. The ToxiRAE II H2S gas detector is durable, highly-impact resistant and carbon-loaded with ABS casing.
Once disposable monitors are turned on they stay on until their batteries expire, whereas the ToxiRAE II hydrogen sulfide detector allows the user to decide when and where the device is used and can be turned off accordingly.
RAE System’s H2S gas detector does not have a pre-programmed expiration date so the user will get the full life out of the battery and sensor, which can both be easily replaced in the workplace. Due to the cost of the ToxiRAE II being similar to many reduced-feature disposables, there is a choice to renew the monitor or obtain a fresh, new monitor.
This hydrogen sulfide monitor also comes with a 2 year guaranty, stainless steel alligator clip, wrist strap, calibration gas test adapter and a high-capacity Lithium battery.
It can be used for H2S detection in fields such as oil production, chemical plants, fire service and power plants.
