1 - Carries Out Numerous Tests, Quickly

The Alcotest 5000 is designed by Drager to carry out numerous tests in quick succession during large-scale operations and entrance checks. Typical applications might include policing, security professionals and construction sites. It’s capable of testing up to 12 people per minute.

The specially designed funnel allows this as it reduces the back-flow of expired air to a minimum.  Excess air is released through the vents on the side of the funnel. This is easily exchangeable.

2 - Easy to Use, Easy to Read

The display is very easy to understand and a pass or fail is simply shown as a tick or cross with a green or red LED light.
The display will also show additional information like the test number, date and any warning information.

3 - Convenient and Adaptable

It can carry out more than one type of test. One is an adequate breath test, where the test subject is able to provide the sample themselves. The other tests are passive or manual and this can be used when a substance is needing to be tested, or if the test subject is unable to carry out the breath sample themselves.

Simply hold the unit 2-3cm away from the subject and press OK to sample.

4 - Long Runtimes

The Drager Alcotest 5000 can perform over 5000 tests on full AA batteries. The batteries are also easily changed in the field, so testing can continue providing you have replacements.

5 - Accessories to Expand its Uses

Despite being a simple, cost-effective handheld monitor, there are a number of accessories available to enhance the use of it.
Reflective stickers are available to make the unit easily visible and accessible.

It has a 1/4” thread on the back to allow mounting on to a stick. This is ideal for the transport industry and spot checks on lorry drivers, who can be tested without leaving their vehicle. The wrist-strap that comes with the Alcotest 5000 will also prevent any accidental drops or damage.
