The BW Ultra 5-gas detector has been designed for use in the confined space market.  Here’s some of the main features and benefits of this BW multi gas monitor that makes it different from others on the market.

The BW Ultra is larger than some of their other multi gas monitors. This is because it houses 5 independent sensor slots and allows simultaneous measurement of 5 specific gases.

The Ultra has a ‘Hole Watch Mode’. This is a patented feature for Honeywell BW and quickly shows the user changes in area or environment they’re sampling.  This is shown on a bar graph next to each reading.  It allows the user to take corrective action before the gas monitor alarms and they’re required to leave the area.  Like other gas monitors on the market, the BW Ultra will show if the unit is out of compliance. A green or red light will be shown to confirm the compliance status of a BW Ultra gas monitor.

The BW Ultra is designed for use in confined space entry applications such as work in tanks, sewers and manholes. This is one of the main reasons the unit does not have a diffusion mode and works on a continuous sampling pump.
