What Do I Need to Know Before Buying the BW GasAlert Micro 5 Multi Gas Detector?

In this short guide we’ll cover the five things you need to know about the BW GasAlert Micro 5 Multi Gas Detector.

#1 You can simultaneously measure up to five atmospheric gases.
You can detect levels of LEL, Hydrogen Sulphide, Carbon Monoxide and oxygen depletion or enrichment and VOCs simultaneously.  Other sensors available include:
SO2, CL2, CLO2, NH3, PH3, HCN, NO2 and O3.

#2 There are both pumped and diffusion models available.
The pumped version of the BW GasAlert Micro5 multi gas detector is particularly ideal for confined space applications due to its integral motorized pump.  The pump is also tested on start-up so you can be sure that the instrument is functioning properly.  With the help of a simple tool the front cover of the detector can be easily changed to a diffusion model.

#3 It has a triple alarm system.
The triple alarm system will sound, light up and vibrate when gas is present. The Micro 5 has four bright, wide-angled alarm bars for clear visibility of the alarm so the user is easily alerted to the presence of gas.

#4 It can be easily maintained.
The GasAlert Micro5 has an integrated window on the front of the unit which allows you to visually inspect the replaceable filter. The filter offers additional protection of the sensors from dust and water.  It also carries out a self-test upon start up and checks the sensor, battery status, circuit integrity and the alarms.  This gives you confidence that the unit is operating as it should before use.

#5 The GasAlertMicro 5 is very easy to use.
