Rhys - Honeywell fixed and BW portable gas detection

"My favourite equipment is the Honeywell range, be it the BW portable or Honeywell fixed gas equipment; they are very reliable and easy to maintain and install, and I have found them to be the best all-around supplier. Their helpline is always available, and they answer any question or issue you have very quickly with an uncomplicated solution. They are easy to use and do what they say in the tin. They may not be the cheapest on the market, but sometimes you must pay a bit extra for quality."

Stephen - Honeywell fixed gas detection

"My favourite gas detection range is Honeywell. In my experience in the field, Honeywell equipment is 'up there' with the most reliable and stable on the market. If a customer requires 100% reliability in a system for a critical application, I feel most confident in supplying Honeywell equipment. It's not the cheapest on the market, but you get what you pay for. The Honeywell Sensepoint XCD head in particular, is a good and reliable unit."

Tom - GMI PS200 portable gas detector

"I think the best gas detector is the Teledyne GMI PS200 Pumped portable gas detector. The user easily activates and deactivates the pump function, which is still extremely reliable in each mode.

The gas detector's build is durable and can be fitted with a protective rubber mould. It has an efficient calibration process and an easy-to-use interface, which is ideal for fast-moving environments and applications. The initial set-up of the GMI PS200 doesn’t require software, making it suitable for a range of applications, including those without connected capabilities."

John - Oldham fixed gas detection

"My preferred supplier of gas detection equipment would be the Oldham range of equipment, the ease of use when setting up the MX range of controllers is difficult to match in the industry, the sensor range is easy to work with, and the simplicity of calibration makes them a joy to work with.

The range of accessories available allows project engineers to encompass Digital Inputs, Analog Inputs, Relay Outputs, and Analog Outputs connected using the digital option for that line. Oldham also builds, tests, and calibrates all the equipment in-house, and their technical department is second to none. Not the cheapest but also not the dearest, a great all-round gas detection company."
