Casella CEL-350 dBadge Kit (1x I.S. dBadge with 3-way charger)
Please note: this product is now obsolete and has been replaced by the Casella dBadge2 range.
This CEL-350 dBadge Kit from Casella includes one intrinsically safe dBadge instrument and a 3-way charger.
The CEL-350 dBadge is part of a series of personal noise exposure instruments. This range of Casella instruments can be applied for noise dosimetry in instances such as measuring personal noise exposure, assessing and monitoring noise in the workplace and ensuring compliance with Workplace Noise Regulations. Unlike traditional dosimeters the dBadge series eliminates the use of cables and is light in weight. This range of Casella instruments can be applied for noise dosimetry in instances such as measuring personal noise exposure, assessing and monitoring noise in the workplace and ensuring compliance with Workplace Noise Regulations.
Built In Display and Simple 2 Key Operation
External equipment is not needed to operate this sound level meter and it is simply used by the 2 keys on the side of the instrument. The display shows measurement status and data and also has a ‘fuel gauge’ display for memory and battery information. A ‘pro’ mode is available which enables projected exposure values to be displayed. The noise dosimeter also comes with an optional, ultra-bright LED action level alarm function which gives indication of when exposure action levels have been exceeded. These action levels can be configured via the Insight software and used to instantly see if noise control or hearing protection measures are needed.
Intelligent Fast Charging System
Battery life and memory capacity are sufficient to perform many consecutive shift measurements without charging or downloading and recharging only takes 90 minutes. Full charge gives the noise dosimeter a 28 hour operating time.
The standard 3-way charger can be used to manage many units.
Variety of Mounting Options
A variety of options are available to the user for mounting the CEL-350 dBadge series onto the shoulder of the employee, making it comfortable to wear and protected from dusty environments. There is a choice of mounting clips which combine with the light weight and size of the CEL-350 sound level meter to make it both unobtrusive and comfortable to wear on the shoulder. The clips available to the user are crocodile clips (fitted), pin clips and a hard hat mounting kit.
Data Management
The dBadge model can measure the time history of noise levels on top of these cumulative levels. This data can be viewed and analysed via Insight software. ‘Pro’ mode, available on CEL-350 and CEL-352 models, allows additional exposure values to be displayed.
The CEL-350 downloads to a PC automatically using Casella Insight software, simply by pointing the noise dosimeter at the infra-red download cable provided.
Results recorded from noise dosimetry can be stored in a simple tree structured database, by person, place or process etc. They can also be automatically colour coded to identify exceeded noise levels and an automatic report can be generated.
Intrinsically Safe (I.S.) models
To meet the requirements of ATEX EEx ia I M1, EEx ia IIC T2 II 1 G, certificate number 07ATEX2032X and IECEx Ex ia I Ma, Ex ia IIC T2 and certificate number IECEx SIR 11.0063X an Intrinsically Safe version of the CEL-350 dBadge series is available, making the I.S. dBadge Plus suitable for use in hazardous areas such as mines, printing works or petrochemical plants.
