Casella Conical Inhalable Sampler

The Conical Inhalable Sampler (CIS) is a part of Casella Measurement’s range of dust and air sampling accessories. 

This is a cassette type filter holder for inhalable sampling of general dusts and will use a 37 mm filter at 3.5 litres per minute.  Conical Inhalable Samplers are recommended for sampling inhalable fractions by the HSE.

The CIS are multi-fraction samplers that can use PUF filters as a separating medium.  It can simultaneously collect both respirable and inhalable dust fractions.  It includes a conical inlet with an 8 mm hole at the top.  The inlet is then connected to a cassette that holds a 37 mm filter.  The orifice must be facing outwards when worn so as to collect a valid sample.
