The Crowcon MPS Sensor in the Gasman is Hydrogen ready and can accurately detect 19 different flammable gases without the need for calibration. It has been designed to resist contamination which prevents sensor poisoning. Thanks to the MPS sensor technology this monitor does not require calibration or any scheduled maintenance across its 5-year lifespan. This is a result of the self-monitoring sensor reporting any issues with its operation, giving peace of mind and reducing the cost of ownership. Calibration is required after 5 years to maintain the monitor.

As is the case for many multi-gas sensors correction factors would need to be applied however, the Gasman MPS requires no correction factor and guarantees accurate readings, with no false alarms.

Users of the Crowcon Gasman MPS can work for longer periods of time as the battery life is more than doubled. Additional to this, it is ATEX Zone 0 approved allowing workers to enter explosive gas atmospheres for long periods without any fear of ignition or explosion due to their detector.
