Waste & Wastewater Treatment

The following gas detectors have been suggested by manufacturers as being suitable for applications within the treatment of waste and wastewater.  In terms of processing in this industry, ammonia, carbon monoxide and chlorine detectors may be suitable.  For work in sewers and treatment of these, combustible gas monitors, hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide monitors could also be used.  It’s important to note that for any applications that are classed a confined space, that a pumped monitor should be used for pre-entry checks.  Sulphur dioxide monitors have also been known to be used in the dichlorinisation process.

We recommend checking your site-specific requirements and carrying out a risk assessment to ensure you choose the correct gas detector for your application.  Should you require assistance with this then please contact our Sales Team on 0141 771 7749 or contact [email protected].
