Welding

The following gas detectors have been suggested by manufacturers as being suitable for applications within the paper and pulp industry.  There’s a number of applications within welding that require the use of carbon monoxide and combustible gas detectors.  This includes confined space welding, arc air cutting, digester process flux- & gas-shielded arc welding, metal cutting & flame gouging, and gas pressure welding.   Combustible gas and nitric oxide monitors can be used Thermite arc & stud welding, laser welding & chilling, arc air cutting, digester process electric resistance welding, gas pressure welding, metal cutting and flame gouging.  Oxygen deficiency/enrichment monitors can be used in confined space welding and electron beam welding, so long as a unit with a pump function is used.

We recommend checking your site-specific requirements and carrying out a risk assessment to ensure you choose the correct gas detector for your application.  Should you require assistance with this then please contact our Sales Team on 0141 771 7749 or contact [email protected].
