    Drager Oxy 6000 Rescue Apparatus

Drager Oxy 6000 Rescue Apparatus (without protective bumpers)

The Drager Oxy 6000 is an oxygen self-rescuer, designed to handle the harshest conditions.  The innovative design and compact, ergonomic shape makes it robust, controlled and able to protect the internal functional unit against potential damage.

    Breathing Air for 60 Minutes

If an incident occurs, involving oxygen deficiency, smoke or dangerous gases employees can be supplied with oxygen through Drager’s escape breathing apparatus.  During this instance, the wearer is provided with more time to reach a safer area or an escape.   This 60-minute device allows for more options in an emergency planning concept to be carried out.

    Easy to Operate

In order to appeal to both left-handed and right-handed users the self-rescuer uses one-hand operation.
It is also made of stainless steel and is protected from accidental opening.  For comfort and ease the instrument can be worn with a shoulder or hip strap and a mouthpiece designed for high wearing comfort.
Drager’s escape breathing apparatus immediately begins to operate once donned by the user.

    Robust Double Housing

The KO2 cartridge of the Oxy 6000 is protected in rough environments and applications such as the mining industry, sewage work and also the petrochemical industry.  This is due to the tough metal/plastic exterior casing which also has an integrated shock absorber.

Safety Duo: Crumple Zone and Safety Eye

The Safety Eye function works through a status window which is used to assess whether the device is working within seconds.  This provides the user with assurance and is reliable.  The user can evaluate how much mechanical stress the self-rescuer has been exposed to by examining the position and depth of the dent in the exterior shell of the device.  Moisture or KO2 fragments can immediately be identified by the user so there is no need for test equipment.

    Less Maintenance, Lower Costs

Drager’s escape breathing apparatus can be used maintenance-free for up to ten years due to its robust design.  Also, the ability to self-inspect the device’s exterior shell and Safety Eye provide certainty about the functionality of the device.  These features can reduce both the risk for employees and also the operating costs.
