Product description

Drager, PAC 1000-7000 Bump Test Station, without Gas

This bump test station from Drager Safety is part of an assortment of calibration and servicing accessories for Drager’s gas detection equipment.

This particular bump test station can be used with the PAC series of single gas detectors: the PAC 3500, PAC 5500, PAC 7000, PAC 6000, PAC 6500 and PAC 8000/8500.  It is also compatible with the Drager X-am range of multi gas detectors.

Please note that the bump test station does not come with any calibration gas.

A bump test may also be known as a function test or a challenge test and is an important task to carry out before the gas detector is used.  This ensures that the detector is working as it should and can allow users to test their gas detectors against a known gas concentration on a regular basis.

The advantage of a unit like the PAC 3500 is the fact it can alert you to when a bump test is required.  If it’s not carried out or is ignored then the instrument will eventually refuse to work.  A bump test typically takes around 8 to 15 seconds to carry out so there is virtually no down time on the instrument when this is being carried out.
