Drager Parat 4720/4730 Escape Hood

The Drager Parat is an escape hood designed for emergency escape from hazardous environments. It provides a minimum of 15 minutes escape time with an integrated ABEK P3 combination filter, protecting against toxic gases, vapours and particles.

This bundle is available in two variants: the Parat 4720 in a soft pack and the Parat 4730 in a hard case. The hard case version weighs 740 g (249 x 156 x 115 mm) and is rated IP54 for dust and splash water protection. The soft pack version weighs 675 g (245 x 160 x 110 mm) and is rated for dust protection.

Both variants share the same core design. The filter is sealed with two filter plugs when packaged; when the device is opened, the filter and hood are released and ready for immediate use. A self-adjusting internal harness allows the hood to be donned. The hood has a brightly coloured exterior for visibility, an integrated exhalation valve and a wide anti-fog coated lens. A security seal indicates whether the unit has been opened, and a window in the packaging allows the hood condition and filter expiration date to be checked. The packaging can be clipped to a belt or shoulder strap.

Both variants have a service life of 16 years (provided the filter is exchanged after 8 years) and are approved according to DIN 58647-7, with the filter additionally tested in accordance with EN 14387:2004.
