Drager Quaestor 5000 CCBA/SV

Drager Quaestor 5000 (CCBA/SV)

This particular version of the Quaestor 5000 test equipment is the CCBA/SV version which can be used for the testing of full facemasks, chemical protection sutis, airline breathing equipment and compressed air breathing apparatus (including safety valve test at the pressure reducer) and closed circuit breathing apparatus.

The Economic Solution for Daily Use

The Drager Quaestor 5000 is a test device which impresses as an economic solution within the versatile Drager test equipment portfolio. The device has been specially designed for medium to small respiratory protection workshops with moderate test volumes. The Quaestor 5000 is computer-controlled and carries out static and dynamic tests of all respiratory protection equipment (except diving apparatus).
The test equipment device combines intelligent manual operation with technical sophistication to accelerate the test sequence automatically. The Quaestor 5000 has been designed in close cooperation with service technicians to meet a high technical quality standard and is tailored towards their needs.

Sound Product Design for Your Individual Test Requirements

A viable solution for every respiratory protection workshop is provided through the modular design from Drager. Available in four different configurations, the Drager Quaestor 5000 is able to test full facemasks, chemical protection suits, airline breathing equipment and compressed air breathing apparatus for functionality and leak tightness. Dynamic simulated breathing tests are permitted through the integrated artificial lung.
The high-precision and manufacturer-independent measurements are carried out according to EN 137, vfdb guideline 0804 and NFPA 1852.

Balanced Performance Characteristics

The Drager Quaestor 5000 has practice-oriented product details and a harmonically attuned interaction of manual and automatic processes.
The test-sequence of the device is semi-automatic – there are processes such as the control of the high pressure valve which are fully automated, however certain individual tests also require manual user intervention.
The disconnection of the lung demand valve medium pressure hose from the test device and the subsequent sealing of the medium pressure hose with a plug are required during a leak tightness test for compressed air breathing apparatus.

Another characteristic of this test device is the gel face of the test head which emulated the elasticity of the human facial skin which optimises the tight fit for all common mask sizes.
The Quaestor 5000 only takes up little space due to its small dimensions. The reduced weight (max 21kg with test head and a carrying handle allow easy transportation of the device e.g. in service vehicles.
Stable alignment is ensured during the testing is ensured though the workbench fixture (included in the scope of supply for the base unit).

Accessories available

There is a range of accessories available as an option for the Drager Quaestor 5000 including the QSI box.
The test head has already been fitted with two screw-on points to attach a holder for all Drager mask/helmet combinations when necessary.
A comfortable rest position of the manometer or Drager Bodyguard and the external microphone is offered through the specially designed bracket during the test. This can be permanently attached to the Drager Quaestor 5000 and guarantees an ideal view of the display area.

The compressed air breathing apparatus holder is attached to the left of the device using the screw-on points and offers the option to suspend the shoulder harness from the bracket of the holder. This ensures the user experiences greater comfort and can inspect repair sources directly at eye level and test the CABA in the upright position in which it is worn.
