Product description

The Drager Short Term Detection Tubes for Oxygen are used for the short-term measurement of oxygen concentration in air. The tubes use a chemical reaction with titanium trichloride that produces a colour change from blue-black to white when oxygen is present. Both variants have a measuring range of 5 to 23 vol% and require a single pump stroke, taking approximately one minute to complete a measurement. The tubes are compatible with the Drager Accuro Gas Detection Pump.

Indication is not affected by carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, solvent vapours, halogenated hydrocarbons or nitrous oxide. The two variants have slightly different ambient temperature, humidity and accuracy specifications (see spec table).

This bundle is available in 5%/b (supplied in packs of 8) and 5/c (supplied in packs of 10) versions, with a shelf life of 2 years from the date of production.

Important: these tubes become very warm during measurement, reaching approximately 100°C. They should not be used in potentially combustible atmospheres. If in doubt, test the area with a combustible gas monitor before using the tube.
