Drager Test-It 6100
This mobile test device from Drager is designed to test closed-circuit breathing apparatus. All the necessary accessories such as adapters and hoses for the PSS BG4 are included the compact suitcase design.
The sturdy housing is splash-protected in accordance with IP 64 and includes a mains adapter as energy supply.
After turning on the device, an automatic sensor offset is carried out – then the device is ready to use. The user interface is divided into the flow and pressure measurement areas. The display which is located at the centre shows either flow or pressure. It can be switched between these measurement possibilities by briefly pressing the key underneath the display. If this key is pressed longer, a sensor offset is done. The unit of measure for flow is L/min - for pressure either mbar or hPa can be selected.
The components RD40 connector, connector for the hand pump, cut-off valve, and pressure relief valve are arranged on the pressure side of the operating panel. Via the RD40 connector, an adapter is used to connect the mouthpiece of the closed-circuit breathing apparatus that is to be tested. For pressure tests, the relief valve is first switched to open. Then the corresponding test pressure (positive or negative pressure) is produced, the cut-off valve is closed, and the pressure relief valve is used to set the exact test pressure. For quicker working, the valve shows two pressure relief levels.
The connection for the flow test is integrated on the flow side of the operating panel. The Dräger Test-it 6100 includes a dosing cap, which is used to connect the flow sensor to the input of the hand pump. This design means that the Dräger PSS® BG 4 remains connected unchanged to the Dräger Test-it 6100. In addition, the flow side includes a stopwatch for time measurement. As an alternative to the mains adapter that is included with delivery, the test device can also be operated with an external battery pack. A separately available test head or a test balloon extend the test capabilities to masks. For this purpose the Dräger Test-it 6100 is equipped with the test volume of 500 ml (+0ml; –100ml) required for the low-pressure range under vfdb guideline 0804. Alternatively to manual performance, it is also possible to operate and analyze individual test steps electronically via a PC using the Adaptor II user software (USB interface).
