GM S5000 Gas Monitor by MSA

GM S5000 Gas Monitor by MSA

The S5000 gas monitor by General Monitors is the most robust gas detector on the market, developed for detecting oxygen, combustible and toxic gases in extreme weather and environmental conditions. The S5000 is capable of being used in the toughest of applications ranging from -55°C to +75°C demonstrating it is one of the most reliable gas detectors available. The touch button interface being the first in the industry, allows for a tool free user experience and separates the S5000 from its competition.

The GM S5000 self-checks 4x per day resulting in worry free operation, better stability and increased calibration cycles (up to 18 months for H2S and CO) thanks to MSA’s patented TruCal Technology just like the MSA Ultima X5000. Diffusion supervision ensures sensor inlets are not blocked and impacting detection as an acoustic signal is sent every 6 hours enabling gas to reach the sensor.

The unit will go into fault mode if the sensor inlet is blocked until the obstruction is cleared, then returns to normal operation once the obstruction is removed. Gas sensors can be replaced quickly without turning off the device due to MSA’s SafeSwap technology reinforcing the unique benefits of this product.

The GM S5000 can be used for various applications such as: refineries, CNG maintenance facilities, fuel loading facilities, petrochemical, oil well logging, LNG/LPG processing and storage, drilling and production platforms and compressor stations.

Please make use of the ATO Configurator in the downloads section to build your own S5000 specific to the needs of your application.
