Honeywell BW RigRat Area Gas Monitor

Honeywell BW RigRat Area Gas Monitor

The BW RigRat is a modular area monitor, designed detect gas and house up to 6 toxic sensors.  This is available as a diffusion model or a pumped model.

Suitable for various applications including area monitoring, confined space entry, inert gas applications, fence line monitoring, welding tents, compressed air monitoring, leak monitoring and shutdown controls.  Choose from bluetooth only models, mesh models capable of connecting to specific portables gas detectors and MeshGuard systems and also WiFi compatible models.

Available sensors include Low Power NDIR LEL sensors, Catalytics LEL sensors, PID, CO, H2S, SO2, NO, NO2, HCN, NH3, Cl2, O2 and CO-HR/H2.  Please see the specifications table for more information on available ranges

It’s very easy to use and can be operated using only one button.  It has a high-resolution display.  When gas is detected the BW RigRat will activate two alarms.  One is an audible alarm at 108db (at 1 meter) and the other is a 360° LED light.

The Mesh (868 MHz, 900 MHz or 2.4GHz) version of the BW RigRat can operate with other RigRats in a closed-loop application.  One Honeywell BW RigRat can connect up to 8 other RigRats and display the wireless signal in the wireless assistant display.  If one alarm goes off then all monitors will go in to alarm, however the unit that has detected the danger will show a red light and the others will show an amber light.  There’s no need to reform a network if one of the devices is removed, the units will reconfigure themselves.  In a single network you can have up to 16 units, so long as there is a different multiple Honeywell BW RigRat binding the systems together.

All Honeywell BW RigRats are equipped with a Bluetooth function (BLE) which can connect with the mobile app to allow setup and configuration.  Everything can be set up easily and doesn’t require a great deal of training.  Calibration and datalogging can be managed through this.

Additional accessories, that can be purchased separately, include carrying straps (allow 3-point contact to carry the RigRat whilst climbing ladders), yellow cage available to buy to help protect the unit and a storage rack to stack multiple units.
