MSA Chillgard VRF - Refrigerant Leak Detector
The Chillgard VRF is designed to detect refrigerant gas leaks in Variable Refrigerant Flow Systems (VRF) and is the first VRF detector with BACnet capabilities. This device is calibrated for the detection of R410a Gas and has a low minimum detection level of 25 ppm. The need for continual maintenance is minimised with the Photoacoustic Infrared (PAIR) sensor technology that eliminates drifts and lessens the cost of ownership.
The Chillgard VRF can work independently while communicating directly to a building management system (BMS) via BACnet MS/TP, analog or Modbus RTU. There are many other benefits to the user of this VRF system one being it can cut energy costs as much as 40%. This VRF leak detector can be used for long periods of time in temperatures ranging from 0-60°C (32-140°F) and relative humidity levels (RH) of 0-99% without any user intervention.
This can be applied across applications such as schools/universities, places of worship, hospitals, hotels, restaurants and various others. Locate the Chillgard VRF around 12-18 inches from the floor where refrigerants will likely gather and install on a flat surface.
