The MSA PrimaX IR is an extremely reliable and stable gas transmitter that detects hydrocarbon gases and vapours in the most extreme environmental conditions. The PrimaX IR has a patented IR dual source design, providing uninterrupted monitoring and significantly lessening the likelihood of interruption due to factors such as: dust, rain, fog and other environmental settings. It is made from 316L stainless steel and its patented guard sensor housing assists in protecting against extreme environmental factors.
PrimaX IR has a 4/20 mA output signal, is factory calibrated and easily connected to a stainless steel or aluminium junction box. Condensation build up is prevented through MSA’s heated optics and the transmitter can operate through a wide range of temperatures (–50 °C to +80 °C).
This transmitter has many accessories that can be applied across many applications and used to improve performance such as the calibration cap which can also assist with calibration with its LCD display. See our range of accessories such as junction boxes, HART junction box an environmental guard tether and many more.
Our data sheets below provide a more in depth look at the PrimaX IR.
