MSA SavOx Self-Rescuer (Class 30)
The SavOx self-rescuer is a chemical oxygen rescuer from MSA Safety. This particular version is class 30, which means it will supply protection for at least 30 minutes.
This type of product is ideal for use in many different industries including breweries, hazmat transportation, mining, nuclear power plants, oil-refineries and platforms, petrochemical industries, power plants, rescue services, silos, tunnel construction and waste and water sites.
The MSA SavOx will start almost immediately thanks to the automatic starter. When in its carrying container it can be worn on a belt or with an additional carrying strap over the shoulder. When in use it will be worn around the chest.
This oxygen self-rescuer works by generating oxygen from chemical potassium superoxide (KO2). This will provide an oxygen supply, based on the users consumption as it always adjusts itself to the demand. In turn the breathing resistance of the wearer will control the service time.
