MSA Senscient ELDS – Open Path Gas Detector
The MSA Senscient ELDS is an open path gas detector which can detect a range of combustible and toxic gases such as: Ammonia (NH3), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Ethylene (C2H4), Hydrogen Chloride (HCI), Hydrogen Fluoride (HF), Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), Methane (CH4) and Sour Gas (H2S+CH4). It offers one of the greatest breakthroughs in gas detection technology with the patented Harmonic Fingerprint and SimuGas.
Every system will consist of a transmitter sending an eye safe laser signal to a receiver. Any target gas falling into the beam will alter the laser signal to generate the harmonic fingerprint, resulting in false alarms being virtually non-existent. The SimuGas technology eliminates the need for manual calibration providing a daily auto gas test, in turn reducing maintenance costs and increasing employee safety. The Senscient ELDS Ammonia detector operates up to 120m, providing smaller installation costs than many fixed-point gas detection systems available on the market. This device is suited to both onshore and offshore environment as it’s made with 316L stainless steel.
