Drager and MSA Oxygen and KO2 Self-Rescuers

Our self rescuer devices are ideal for instances where you may be exposed to toxic gases and oxygen deficiency during gas outbursts, fires and explosions. These self-rescuers will provide oxygen on demand for a set period of time by generating O2 from a chemical known as KO2. The self-rescuer will have a closed circuit so the exhalation air of the wearer is regenerated and enriched with oxygen. CO2 and humidity of exhaled air will react with the KO2 so oxygen is generated and KO2 is removed. The rescue sets from MSA and Drager last around 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the product chosen.

Drager Safety

Drager's Oxy range of KO2 self rescuers all have different escape durations, designed to suit various applications.  Help your workforce become familiar with the unit by using the training versions available.
