Product description

The Radiodetection C.A.T4+ is a fourth-generation cable avoidance tool designed to locate buried pipes and cables prior to excavation. It includes all the functionality of the standard C.A.T4, with the addition of on-demand depth estimation for buried utilities up to 4m deep in line mode and 7m in sonde mode.

This model includes StrikeAlert, which provides an audible and visual warning when the operator is within 300mm of a shallow buried utility. The Avoidance Mode allows operators to search for Power, Radio and Genny signals simultaneously, speeding up pre-dig surveys. Dynamic Overload Protection automatically filters out high levels of interference, enabling continued operation in electrically noisy environments such as substations and beneath high-voltage cables.

The C.A.T4+ is recommended for use with the Radiodetection Genny 4 Signal Generator for applying a traceable signal to specific utilities. It is suitable for industries including construction, utilities, telecoms, oil and gas, and municipal services.
