Sensepoint Flammable, Toxic and Oxygen Gas Sensors
The Sensepoint range of gas sensors can be used in potentially explosive atmospheres. They are supplied with a pre-wired junction box and can be installed using conduit or armored cables and glands. This is dependent on the needs of the application. They are designed to be directly connected to the Honeywell range of Touchpoint controllers.
Various gases and measuring ranges are available, please refer to the datasheet for more information. Detectable gases include flammables, oxygen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphide, hydrogen, chlorine, Sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and ammonia.
The sensors are ATEX certified and comply with the latest European standards. They have a typical operational life of 2 to 5 years, depending on the configuration chosen.
Sensepoints are supplied with an earth continuity plate for increased resistance to the effects of RFI, the junction box offers the installer a choice of ½”, ¾” and M20 connection via conduit or armoured cable and Ex e certified cable glands. Terminals are suitable for use with screened 0.5mm2 (20AWG) to 2.5mm2 (14AWG) cross sectional area cable, as needed to ensure minimum operating voltage at the detector, depending upon installed cable length.
