Honeywell BW Clip4: Top 5 Things To Know Before Buying

Honeywell BW Clip4: Top 5 Things To Know Before Buying

The BW Clip4 is a multi-gas detector from Honeywell. Our quick guide will walk you through the top 5 things you need to know before buying the BW Clip4.

Number 1 – The Clip4 has the ability to detect dangerous levels of combustible gases.

These include oxygen, carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulphide. As the combustible sensor in the unit is an IR sensor, we recommend checking with our engineers that this will be able to detect the combustible gas you need it to.

BW Clip4 Ideal for use in tough environments

Number 2 – Despite being a multi-gas detector, the BW Clip4 is actually a disposable monitor.

This means it can only operate for 2 years. The unit can’t be turned off and once switched on has a continuous 2-year runtime.

Number 3 – It can still be calibrated.

Manufacturer recommendations suggest calibrating the detector every 6 months. Click here to watch our BW Click4 calibration video.  This can be done with the IntelliDoX, or you can return this to our Glasgow Service Centre for calibration using the RMA form.

BW Clip4 It has a built-in travel mode

Number 4 – It has a built-in travel mode.

This means the alarms are disabled, event logs are suspended and the menu navigation is disabled. The 2-year countdown clock will still continue to countdown.

Number 5 – It’s a robust monitor but compact.

BW Clip4 It has a similar profile to other BW monitors

It has a similar profile to other BW monitors and features a built-in concussion-proof boot.  This is ideal for use in tough environments and helps prevent any accidental knocks or damage.
