How long will it take to calibrate my MSA Gas Detector?
Our standard turnaround time for calibrating your MSA gas detector is around 3-5 working days, although we always aim to improve this for you. We know how important it is to ensure your gas detector is serviced every 6 months (according to manufacturer recommendations) and we will aim to have the detector serviced and returned to you as soon as possible.
Can I hire an MSA gas detector?
Should for any reason the work needed to service your gas detector takes any longer than the promised turnaround time our engineer will advise you of this and we can offer you a temporary hire unit. This will help reduce any downtime caused and can be kept as long as it’s required.

What’s included in the calibration?
Any MSA gas detectors returned for a successful calibration will be issued a traceable calibration certificate. In accordance to manufacturer recommendations your MSA gas detector will be due every 6 months. Our Service Team operate a recall system which will provide you with a reminder that your calibration due date is upcoming. This will allow time for the monitor to be returned before its due date and again avoid any unnecessary downtime.
In order to ensure the safe and accurate operation of Portable Gas Detectors, they need to be periodically calibrated against reference test gases that are traceable to National Physical Laboratory standards
