How Frontline Safety and AquAid Are Making a Difference in Africa

At Frontline Safety, we prioritise the well-being and performance of our team, understanding that proper hydration is key to their best workday performance. That's why we've invested in water coolers from AquAid, a leading UK supplier renowned for their high-quality water dispensers and bottled water.

But our partnership with AquAid goes beyond providing our team with quality hydration. It also allows us to positively impact the lives of African people who lack access to safe and clean drinking water.

How does it work?

With every purchase we make from AquAid, an automatic donation is made to The Africa Trust, a charity that works to bring sustainable solutions to poverty and disease in Africa.

One of the projects that The Africa Trust supports is the installation of ‘Elephant Pumps’ - a modified version of an ancient Chinese rope pulley system that can draw water from wells up to 50 metres deep. These pumps are simple, robust, and easy to maintain, and they can provide enough water for a whole village. Take a look at a previously installed pump below! 

We proudly announce that one such pump is currently being installed in Africa on our behalf, thanks to our donations to The Africa Trust. Our organisation’s name will be proudly displayed on our well, and we will soon receive a photo and a letter of thanks from the villagers who will benefit from it.

This is not a one-off gesture but a long-term commitment to make a difference in the world. AquAid and The Africa Trust have built over 8,000 Elephant Pumps across parts of Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe and have donated more than £20 million to charity.
