Drager Interlock 7000 Hand Unit - Alcohol Ignition Interlock Device
Drager's Interlock 7000 is a handheld alcohol ignition interlock device. This prevents anyone under the influence of alcohol from starting the ignition of their vehicle.
Although this is an advanced piece of kit the Drager Interlock 7000 consists of a handset and control unit. Once the ignition is switched on the handset is used to take the breath sample from the person, which then transmits to the control unit. Depending on the result, the starter relay of the vehicle will either be blocked or released and if the person is over the limit then the engine will be prevented from being started.
Measuring results are reliable and extremely precise and the design of the Interlock 7000 means that any attempts to manipulate readings are identied and stored in the data log. This also stores breath samples, measured alcohol concentration, engine starts and stops.
