It’s a reusable single gas detector with a lifetime of up to 2 years.

It’s available in 13 different sensors including O2, H2S, CO, CO-H2, HCN, O3, NO, NO2, PH3, SO2, NH3, Cl2 and ClO2. The sensors are interchangeable. They can be swapped in-field and the unit will instantly recognise the type and update the gas label on the display. 

The Protege SG is easy to use with two-button use and a one-button activation.

The display has been designed so it’s easy to read.  And the menu is user-intuitive. Watch our video demonstration below to see it in action.

It’s also highly visible and accessible.  The Protege SG's bright red colour makes it easy to see and the crocodile clip on the allows it to be safely attached to the user. 

It carries out a self-test upon startup.

This ensures sure that the monitor is fully compliant before you take it out into the field.  This checks the display, the LED and vibrating alarm, the alarm settings, calibration due date, bump test due date. Then the sensor will warm up.  A countdown timer shows on screen as a visual guide on how long left the Protege SG has before it's ready for you to use. Once the self-test is complete, the monitor will return to the normal operating mode.
