1. Extensive Sensor Configuration Options  

The Ventis Pro5 is Industrial Scientific's multi-gas monitor capable of detecting five gases out of 17 possibilities, including; LEL (Methane/Pentane), H2S, SO2, CO, Cl2, HCN, NO2, NH3, O2, PH3. This makes it a very flexible monitor that suits various application types.

2. Choice of Colour and Monitoring Style 

You can choose from a black monitor or Industrial Scientific's staple bright orange colour. Additionally, the monitor comes in a diffused style for personal gas monitoring or a pumped style for confined space. However, if you have a diffused style monitor, the Ventis Slide-on Pump can be used to allow the monitor to convert to a pumped style.

3. Dual Sensor Technology

The Ventis Pro5 uses a patented Dual Sense Sensor technology. This technology uses redundant sensors creating two sensors of the same type. This allows for more accurate gas readings and ensures that the redundant sensor would work if the primary sensor were to fail. Therefore, reducing the chance of monitoring failure and keeping users safer.

4. Added User Safety Features

The monitor is equipped with features that increase user safety on-site. The panic alarm located on the front of the monitor, when clicked, goes into a panic mode alarm to alert workers nearby. The Ventis Pro5 also has a 'man down' feature that if, when in use, the monitor has not detected movement for 30 seconds, it will enter a countdown. At the end of this countdown, an alarm will sound if motion has not been detected. If the Ventis Pro5 is in a LENS wireless network – these alarms will be communicated instantly to other monitors in the network, and they will be notified of what has happened. These features reduce human error and response times and aid fast decision making – critical for saving lives and preventing injuries.

5. Alarm Action Messages

Users can set customised alarm action messages to each sensor for the gas present, TWA and STEL alarms. This means that when the Ventis Pro5 is in alarm, the monitor can provide instructions such as 'VENTILATE' or 'EVACUATE'. Again, this feature helps users make accurate and informed decisions to help increase their safety.

6. LENS Wireless

Industrial Scientific Ventis Pro5 monitors are compatible with LENS Wireless allowing whole sites to be connected via their gas monitors.
