Drager X-plore 8000 Standard Hoods for Powered Air Respirator
Drager’s X-plore 8000 Standard Hood can be used in numerous applications when used in conjunction with the Drager X-plore 8500 or 8700 Powered Air-Purifying Respirator range.
Choose from a short or long length and a size S/M or L/XL in each length.
All versions of the standard hood are lightweight and made from a cost-effective material that’s intended for limited-use applications. The short version will cover the head and face but will leave the ears uncovered for communication purposes. The long version is also made for limited-use applications, covers the head, face and neck area but also features a dual-layer neck guard for additional safety when worn with a protective suit.
It’s important to note that standard hoods should not be worn in a potentially explosive atmosphere.
The X-plore 8000 hoods offer a robust and high level of protection (approved to TH3) for the respiratory system and face. There are many elements to the hood that offer additional comfort such as the guided air inlet. This includes a wind deflector that leads the air away from your head and avoids focusing it on a single spot. There’s also a spacer on the top of your hood visor which will help to define the curvature of the visor, offering low distortion.
